Laura Idle and Rose Spieler-Sandberg form the folk duo Idle Rose. The pair are based in Ashland and sing an honest, relaxed and sweet style of Americana that ripples and shines like the Chequamegon Bay on a calm, warm summer afternoon. Soft harmonies and simple acoustic guitar drive their original songs, which are playful, uplifting and heartfelt. Idle Rose hosted a regular monthly music series at the Washburn Meditation Center this past winter called the Cozy Craft Concerts.
